KINGSWAY SPRING 2011

I consider it a blessing to be asked to work on a campaign-
little own to be asked back TWICE!
 Thank you to
Todd Sloane or TAG Advertising (fearless Art Director)
Klyment Tan (photographer)
Assistants: Bry Acheson and Corey Thompson

HERE IS KINSGWAY MALL 2011

This shoot has graced my top 10 shoots ever!
I love the unique backgrounds, the model choices and the wardrobe.
The Energy on set was so positive, upbeat, and every one involved was so great to be around.
Thank you to Aaron Pederson for the use of his Great Studio-Nicest Guy Ever Too.
ALL CAPITALS!

Ania B: Model Above
Wow! She also has a great blog GOOGLE HER!
Her down to earth go getr' attitude was so infectious.
almost every move was like she was telling a story.

The Models were all so down to earth with strong professional attitudes.
Liam: He understands how to move and keep the flow going for every look.
I don't get to work with male models very often-and when I do: I AM NOT USUALLY IMPRESSED!
Liam brought the perfect energy and he is just so aware of his body and how clothes move.

I am in love with this top that Riza is wearing! DROOL!
This girls is one of those girls that you can't help but absolutely want to fall in love with.
her kind demeanour makes you want to smile and the light ethereal background is perfect for her.

Courtney-has legs to kill for and hair Barbie wishes she has!
This statuesque humanitarian: is a breath of fresh air.
She walked in smiling from ear to ear and hugged me like we have worked together our whole lives.
MAJOR!

I think that any shoot-especially commercial needs a great team that understands patience is key.
That you will overlap in time.
But more than anything a GREAT TEAM:
All clothes pulled are available at Kingsway Mall

EYE CREAM-YOU SCREAM-FOR B.Kamins

photo from http://www.bkamins.com/
available at sephora 68.00 CND.
I am so in love with Sephora for their ability to believe and promote sampling!
Although expensive it allows their sales artist to ensure in all of us that their product is the best for our skin.
AS MUCH AS IT IS ABOUT CLOSING THAT SALE-
IT IS SO MUCH ABOUT US RETURNING WITH POSITIVE RAPPORT!

I was flying about a total of 14 hours this week: and under my eye area was getting so dry and irritated.
I generally use the Shu Uemura Hydrability Eye Gel-which I do love, love, love!
But I knew there was something else out their.
For my skin type: Dehydrated, not too sensitive, combination and active I need a light weight product that does not leave a residue on my skin-and feels like my skin takes a large drink of water.

HERE'S THE SCOOP:
TIME: 6:00 Vancouver B.C.
Location: Downtown-Sephora Pacific Centre
WHY: the skin under my eyes were so damn dry and itchy: but not flaky!
-----I ran into Sephora although Holt Renfrew was across the street I could of grabbed my Shu Eye Gel and been fine but I needed more-I needed a change.
This wonderful Japanese or Korean Goddess Maka ( I am totally butchering her name)-was trying to help my find an eye gel that was hydrating, would help with
FIRST SIGNS OF AGING, has NO CAFFEINE, NO WHEAT AND NO SOY
She found this cucumber rich eye cream:
I put it on with the sample she put on finger-about 30 minutes into meeting me and as she was busy pumping some product into a jar for me: MY EYES FELL IN LOVE.
-So light weight, so hydrating and so heavenly.
-Dark lines under my eyes diminished and with in my first application the ITCHINESS STOPPED!
-I bought it the day after and-the 3 pumps she pumped me I am still using 2 weeks later so I know its worth the 68.00 I payed.
B.Kamins Oxi-defense is soooooo major! Young or Old-This eye gel is just so wonderful feeling!

SPARKLES ARE SO FRESH!

"Sparkles are the Herpes of Makeup"
it is so true: once they are on-they get everywhere!

First I would like to introduce
with a moment of silence
for these amazing pumps: from Badgley Mischka
1,2,3
DROOL!
I did not even bother looking at the price tag!
sometimes flipping the over is the worst decision any of us could do! EVER!
so-I decided to look for the replica.

This is what I found! Aldo! www.aldoshoes.com

50.00 www.aldoshoes.com

Below:
Minerals

The shitty part about wearing sparkles is the they wear you.
A lot of glitter available is not safe for the face and has a lot of fillers.
NOT TO MENTION THEY FALL EVERYWHERE!
Eye Kandy has come out with a great solution:
Make a glitter that is safe for the eyes and to mix even with Gels for your nails.
The plastic is made from the same stuff that contact lenses are made of.
The LIQUID SUGAR is a bonding product that does not allow the sparkles to move.
Drool for these colors:  I am in Love with
Berry Blast: A pewter with a hint of a soft cool blue.
Marshmallow: A white iridescent heaven.
Pixie: A cool mix of greens and golds.
Sour Grape: A delicious deep Purple.

Happy Shopping!

MUST HAVE HYDRATING MIST!

I am so freaking in love with HYDRATING products!

--They are great for anybody who lives in NORTH AMERICA: the land of the dehydrated!

When people are oily but yet they have very tight feeling skin or flake they could be lacking in hydration!

Hydrating products are vital in any makeup artist kit!

-Whether it be an eye cream, lip balm or my favourite a hydrating mist!

Some people use a hydrating mist to set their makeup or a quick refresher!

I use hydrating mist to help the skin look more translucent, thus creating a natural glow! MY FAVOURITE PRODUCTS FOR BRIDES!

A Hydrating mist helps to plump up the skin-by swelling the dermal layers of the skin creating a more youthful and brighter effect. When the hard layers of the skin get dry they become white and grey-ish toned (think about your hang nails-when they get dry it doesn't look like skin anymore-it looks like dry dead scales that are white and unsightly)So-a hydrating mist can help to soften those hard layers give a more translucent and vibrant appearance!

HERE ARE MY TOP TWO!

This is my number product I carry in Unscented, Mint and Lavender!

I really love the way this product mist-its fine and gentle and I feel as though

I get the most hydration from this product.

this Hawaiian goddess product helps you too keep your hair and skin hydrated,

I keep this with me at the beach-for a quick pick me up when I too hot

also you can use it to revitalize already done hair, or as a leave in conditioner.

SUNDAY MUST HAVE! GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND!

To have a vital carry in Makeup-or fashion, you need a very strong support system
Avenue Womans Spring 2010 What to Wear:

Makeup: Adrianne Thompson

Whether it be friends, family or mentors-if you don't have it your probably going to fail. All it takes is one person to push you and your passion to the next level.

A support system is someone who doesn't always agree with your work, someone who loves your work, someone who pushes your limits, someone who in general believes that your talent is needed and helps you explore that dream, but can also keep you grounded.

Today: My must have is Klyment Tan. A huge part of my career and the best part of my portfolio is thank full to Klyment. A photographer,Print maker and newly a men' wardrobe perfectionist, makeup artist and hairstylist. All around a great friends: his support has allowed me to shine a little bit more in Edmonton and has allowed me re-discover my passion for fashion.

Putting me behind the lens of a camera-I discovered I could be a pretty sick shooter. I suggest when you guys check out an area of the industry: CHECK IT ALL OUT! get dirty, you may discover something else that you love which is why I work in all facets of the industry: I LOVE IT ALL. HAIR MAKEUP AND WARDROBE!

Models: Sean and Victoria Stinchcombe for Kingsway Mall.

THANK YOU KLYMENT

The photos are just some of the amazing people that I get to work on with Klyment.
My other great photographer friends: I am not forgetting about you either

Curtis Comeau, Corey Thompson, Micheal Shandro, and Grant Olson.

Thank you all!

O.k. readers: So it is time to throw out the hate and keep the love.

Be thankful for your critics-but take it in slowly. what they may say now may feel like a sharp sword: SOMETIMES it takes a while to make sence.

Just like when know it all mom says: to eat your vegetables!

Happy shopping!

TUESDAY STUMBLE: ARMANI EXCHANGE

Armani Exchange doesn't make an appearence very often although their down to earth contemporary style will for sure this Spring: Infact I just order some low riding cargo pants-not low in the ass but in the croch so way lower.-

Dsquared has a great version of these pants too:

And what looks like to be Simon Nessman gracing our eyes! DROOL!

--if its not him I'm sorry but this guy is major!

Armani Exchange is opening up in West Edmonton Mall across from T&T taking over the Tristan & America space which relocated to Europa Boulavard joining the popular Urban and High Grade as well as the awesome beauty store Beauty Junky a must stop shop for any beauty lover.
